Marcus Suppo DVM

Meet the friendly staff at Stamford Veterinary Center & Pet Lodge!

Marcus Suppo
Dr. Marcus Suppo, a native of Staten Island, New York, is the Owner, Founder and Medical Director at Stamford Veterinary Center. After spending much of his life cultivating a love for animals and the land with which humans share with them, Dr. Suppo opened the hospital in 2012, following a rewarding 11-year ownership of Mamaroneck Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort in Westchester County, New York.

'I'm most fulfilled by seeing devoted pet owners and lovers express relief when we have helped their pets through difficult medical ordeals and, significantly, seeing clients and oftentimes generations of families bringing all their pets to us,' Dr. Suppo says.

He attended Washington College as an undergraduate, majoring in Political Science and completing a senior thesis on the Wetlands. Marcus went on to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1997.

Dr. Suppo's professional interests include dentistry, disorders of the endocrine system, and zoonotic diseases. He is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, spent time as a member of the veterinary staff at Chestertown Animal Hospital in Maryland, and served on the Board of Directors at the New Rochelle Humane Society for six years.

At home, Dr. Suppo enjoys spending time with his three sons, Oliver, Benjamin, and Mateo, as well as hiking, biking, and nutrition. Marcus is also the pet parent to Blaze, an Alaskan Malamute, and Trippy, a Terrier mix.
